Lincoln High School library is located across from the school office. The library is open when school is in session. The librarian, Ms. Silva, is available from 7:30 am until 3:45 pm. The library will be closed during STRIPES and after 1pm on Early Release Mondays. Our library contains over 5000 fiction and non-fiction books in the circulating collection, as well as reference books, textbooks, videographic materials (for teachers only, sorry!), magazines, computers(with internet access!), and of course a friendly librarian ready and eager to assist you in your information needs.
The Mission of the Lincoln High School Library Program is to support the curriculum of LHS, to provide access to current, adequate, and appropriate information resources, and to ensure that students, teachers, and staff are effective users of ideas and information.
This mission is accomplished:
- by providing intellectual and physical access to materials in all formats.
- by providing instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas.
- by collaborating with staff to design learning strategies to meet the information needs of students.
The library is for reading, doing research, studying and/or doing your homework. The rules are:
- Be safe.
- Be respectful.
- Be productive.
Peer Tutoring is available 3 days a week! Tuesday – Thursday until6:30pm
